NoCo Game Trader

Your next puzzle is on a shelf two miles from here.

NoCo Game Trader is a trading post for the games, puzzles, and toys your household has finished with. No money changes hands. You meet a neighbor in Fort Collins or Loveland and swap.

Opening in Fort Collins and Loveland. Everyone who joins now keeps unlimited trades for good — that’s written into the terms, not a promotion.

Trade, never buy

There is no checkout, no price field, and no way to pay anyone. Offering money for an item gets your account closed.

In person, never shipped

Every trade happens face to face in Northern Colorado. Nothing is mailed, so nothing gets lost in transit.

Yours to keep

A trade is a permanent swap of ownership. It isn't borrowing, and there are no returns.

How a trade actually works

Six steps, start to finish. Read step five carefully.

  1. 1

    Put your shelf online

Photograph what your household is finished with. Say what it is, what condition it's in, and whether any pieces are missing. Takes about a minute per item.

  2. 2

Set your ZIP and how far you'll go

Everything you see is within the distance you choose. Nothing ships, so a trade twenty miles away is a trade you probably won't make.

  3. 3

    Find something you'd rather have

Filter by what it is — puzzle piece count, player count, age range, platform. A 1,000-piece Ravensburger that someone has already finished is still a 1,000-piece Ravensburger.

  4. 4

    Offer a swap

Pick something of theirs, offer something of yours, and send a note. They can browse your whole shelf and counter with something else.

  5. 5

Agree how to hand it over

Meet in a public place, or use a porch drop-off. Read the next section before you choose porch — the two are not equally safe.

  6. 6

    Trade, then confirm it happened

You both mark the trade done. That's what builds your record, and your record is what makes the next person comfortable trading with you.

Two ways to hand it over. One of them can go wrong.

You pick this per trade. We want you to pick it knowing exactly what you’re agreeing to.

Meet in public

Recommended for anything you’d be upset to lose

You agree on a place and a time, you both turn up, and you swap face to face. It takes ten minutes and it removes almost everything that can go wrong:

  • You see the item before you hand yours over.
  • If it isn't what the listing said, you walk away.
  • Nothing sits outdoors, so nothing gets rained on or taken.
  • Neither of you has to share a home address.
  • Several Northern Colorado police departments keep monitored exchange zones for this.

A library or grocery parking lot in daylight works just as well. Either of you can call it off on the spot, and nobody loses anything.

Porch drop-off

Low-value items only. Nobody can get your item back.

One of you leaves the item out, the other collects it and leaves theirs. You never meet, which is convenient — and which is exactly why it carries risk:

  • The other person can take yours and leave nothing.
  • A passer-by can take either item off the porch.
  • Rain, snow, sprinklers, and animals ruin boxes fast.
  • Someone has to share a street address to make it work.
  • No one witnesses it, so nothing can be proven afterward.

We hold no payment and offer no insurance. If a porch trade goes wrong, the loss is yours. Use it for a $6 puzzle, not a $90 one.

What people trade here

Puzzles and games to begin with. The list grows as people ask for more.

Trade the ones you’ve finished for ones you haven’t.

You need an email address, a ZIP code, and to be 18 or older. The first thing you’ll do is add one item to your shelf.
